Data Access Group

The North Central London Data Access Group (NCL DAGr) has been established to review and approve or decline applications to use health and care data shared by NCL GPs, NHS Trusts, and Local Authorities. It will make decisions on behalf of those organisations, taking into account whether the proposed uses of the data will improve the health and well-being of the local population, match the objectives of the partners, particularly our North Central London Integrated Care System Population Health Strategy, and are not to the detriment of any partner.

Having completed our Resident Champion recruitment, with four lay members now on the group, we are seeking to appoint a permanent Chair.

Chair recruitment

The Data Access Group will make decisions on the uses of resident and patient data provided by our GPs, NHS Trusts and Local Authorities. We need your help to shape how health and care data will be used.

If you are interested in becoming our first permanent Chair please complete this Nomination Form and email to our team at nclicb.dagr@nhs.net for consideration at our next meeting.

Applications will be considered from employees of the NCL ICS Partners that have contributed data to our integrated data platform: NCL primary care services (GP practices), NHS Trusts and Local Authorities.

Background and more information about the NCL Data Access Group

Across North Central London we want to prevent people getting sick, act sooner when they do, support them to best manage their own health and reduce health inequalities. GPs, hospitals, care providers and voluntary organisations are working together to support healthier lives for all our residents.

To support this, we are joining up the health and care records of North Central London residents to help us plan and design services that will improve their health, wellbeing, and care. You can find out more here.

Please see the full Terms of Reference for the group for further information.

Data Access Request Form

We welcome requests to use data for direct care, population health management, planning and risk stratification.

Applications can only be considered from NCL ICS Partners; GPs, NHS Trusts or Local Authorities and must have internal approval before submitting to our Secretariat for screening and consideration at a Data Access Group meeting.

The Data Access Request form can be found here.
