Vaccination catch-up clinics

Some vaccines are given to children at school. If your child missed getting a vaccine at school, they can get it at a catch-up clinic. Your child can also get the MMR vaccine and vaccines to protect against polio at some catch-up clinics.

All vaccines are free for everyone.

How do I know if my child missed having a vaccine?

You can look at the NHS vaccination schedule and check in your child’s red book to see if they are up to date. You may also get a letter or text from the school immunisation service to invite you to come to a catch up clinic. If you are not sure if your child is up to date, you can call your GP surgery and ask them to check for you.

Where is my nearest catch up clinic?

If you child goes to school, they should go to a clinic in the borough where they go to school. If your child is educated at home, they should go to a clinic in the borough where they live. Children who are home educated can get their vaccines at the same ages as children who go to school.
