North Central London partnership celebrates prestigious national recognition at the HSJ Digital Awards 2025

Celebrating innovation and impact in digital health and care

Monday 7 July

North Central London Integrated Care Board (NCL ICB) in partnership with North London Councils and Transformation Partners in Health and Care (TPHC) are proud to announce that we have been named a winner in the Connecting Health and Social Care through Digital category at the HSJ Digital Awards 2025, recognising outstanding achievements in harnessing digital technology to improve healthcare outcomes across the UK.

The HSJ Digital Awards, held 26 June at The ICC in Birmingham, celebrate the power of digital initiatives to transform patient care, improve access to services, and deliver more efficient, equitable healthcare. NCL ICB, North London Councils and TPHC were recognised for our agile approach to digitising social care homes. Our digitising social care homes project delivered benefits for care home residents and staff in North Central London, which impressed the judges with its impactful innovation and scalability.

This project focused on improving access to technology for adult social care services in north central London, supporting connection with their NHS colleagues, and rolling out remote and acoustic monitoring for falls prevention in care homes.

Muyi Adekoya, Head of Market Development and Chief Nursing Officer’s Directorate – Complex Care, NHS North Central London Integrated Care Board, said:
“Winning this award is a testament to the dedication of our wider system partnership working in North Central London, and the commitment of care providers to leverage digital solutions that make a real difference to care home residents who have complex health and social care needs.

‘‘Our work to rollout digital tools and technology is helping to improve the health outcomes of care home residents, and empower care home staff to embrace digital and tech day to day. A big thank you to our digital system suppliers, who strive to support NCLs integration ambitions and the care providers who actively engage in implementing and using the solutions available.’’

Jo Bowers, Associate Director (Digital, Data, Analytics and Digital Productivity), Transformation Partners in Health and Care, said:
‘‘With a huge focus on the potential and benefits of digital in the health and care sector, we are incredibly proud of our team who have supported our colleagues in NCL ICB and North London Councils to take leaps forwards in their digital adoption. With improvements for care home residents and staff, recognition from the HSJ judging panel shows the value that this partnership is making.

“We’re proud to showcase the success of TPHC’s agile, scalable and results-driven approach to this programme. Our role in digitising social care also continues through our work with North West London ICB and the London Borough of Hounslow.”

The judging panel was composed of influential figures from across the health and digital landscape. This is a national recognition of our partnership and combined role as a digital leader within the NHS and wider healthcare community, and highlights the importance of innovation, collaboration, and patient-centric design in driving forward digital transformation.

The HSJ Digital Awards received a record number of entries this year, reflecting the scale and pace of digital innovation taking place across UK health and care settings.
