Supporting NCL to stay well this winter

North Central London ICB is today launching its Winter Wellness campaign to help people stay healthy, access the right care, and ease pressure on busy hospitals during the colder months.

Last winter, thousands of local residents were admitted to hospital with flu and A&E attendances rose sharply – often for illnesses that could have been treated more quickly by other NHS services.

This year’s campaign brings together practical, trusted advice on:

  • Protecting yourself and your family against winter viruses such as flu
  • Knowing where to go for help and treatment
  • Avoiding long waits in A&E by using the right NHS services first

At the heart of the campaign is the Winter Wellness hub: LondonWinterWellness.nhs.uk

The hub offers guidance for parents, people living with long-term conditions, and anyone seeking everyday health advice, including:

  • How to book a free flu vaccine
  • Accessing evening and weekend GP appointments
  • Using Pharmacy First for minor illnesses
  • Getting free medicines through the Self-Care Medicines Scheme
  • Where to turn for urgent care, mental health support, or dental treatment

Where you’ll see the campaign

Over the coming months, residents will see Winter Wellness messages online, on outdoor advertising, in local council magazines, and in videos featuring local people and clinicians.

How you can help
Please help spread the word by sharing our posts on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram, and telling friends, family and colleagues about the campaign.
