Congratulations to our NHS Parliamentary Awards shortlist teams!

The North Central London Integrated Care Board is delighted to announce that three of our Integrated Care Service teams have been shortlisted for the NHS Parliamentary Awards 2024.

The NHS Parliamentary Awards were created in 2018 to celebrate and recognise the outstanding contribution of staff, volunteers and others working in the health and care sector. In the first stage of the awards, MPs nominate healthcare teams and individuals in their local area to highlight their exceptional commitment and achievements working in and with the NHS.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony taking place on Monday 14 October 2024 – when healthcare leaders, finalists and MPs will come together to celebrate the immense contribution our healthcare staff make to the NHS.

The Excellence in Healthcare Award

The main causes of early death for the people of England are – heart disease and stroke, cancer, respiratory conditions, dementia, and self-harm. This award recognises individuals or teams who go above and beyond to improve outcomes and experiences for patients living with and beyond these major health conditions or work to prevent them.

This could be through:

  • establishing a new process to identify and prevent major conditions earlier;
  • developing effective ways to share and spread awareness of a major health condition;
  • working with patients and their families to support people to stay well and recover in their own homes, with the right support in place in their communities.
