Frances O’Callaghan
Our Chief Executive, Frances O’Callaghan, has announced that she will be leaving North Central and North West London West ICBs to take up a new role as Chief Executive of NHS Blood and Transplant. She will begin her new role in February 2026.
Frances, who joined North Central London ICB as CEO in 2020, told colleagues: “I will be very sad to leave, but I am also excited at the opportunity to do something different. I have always been passionate about service delivery, and this role gives me the opportunity to oversee a critical national service.”
Frances continued: “The organisation is very focused on its health inequalities agenda, and I am looking forward to being able take my learning from the ICB and apply it in a new setting.
“I am incredibly proud of the way my ICB colleagues continue to give their very best for the people of North Central and North West London and I feel lucky to have been able to work with such talented and committed people in both organisations. They do amazing and valuable work, every single day.”
Mike Bell, Chair of North Central and West London ICBs said: “Frances has been a brilliant Chief Executive Officer.
“We will miss her greatly, but she should be very proud of all she has achieved for the residents and communities we serve. I am sure there will be opportunities for us to acknowledge and thank her for her contribution before she leaves.
“I will work closely with Frances, the Executive team and with regional colleagues to ensure the transition to a new Chief Executive Officer takes place as smoothly and quickly as possible. We will confirm next steps and any interim arrangements as soon as possible.”
