North Central London ICB is proud to see so many projects and initiatives shortlisted across 11 different categories from across the NCL system.
Four initiatives have direct ICB involvement. They include optimising diabetes care, designing simulation training to support and manage deteriorating patients, creating a new single point of access for eyecare referrals to bypass A&E, and our health and wellbeing bus aimed at social care staff. These projects demonstrate how integrated, system working helps drive improvements in population health and patient safety. A further 10 provider-led projects where shortlisted across the NCL footprint. See the full list below.
Chris Caldwell, NCL ICB Chief Nursing Officer and patient safety lead commended the shortlisted teams: “It is incredibly heartening to see so many impactful projects across North Central London. It is s recognition not only of how our system is prioritising patient safety, but also of how well it is embracing technology, maximising training opportunities and recognising how critical a fit and well workforce is to patient safety.”
