Change NHS
We were grateful that many of you volunteered to be part of our focus groups on Change NHS at the beginning of this year. We analysed your feedback to produce an organisational response to inform the new national NHS 10-year plan. NCL-ICB-Change-NHS-OrganisationResponse-Final-Submission.pdf The plan is due to be published on 5th July – the NHS’s 77th birthday.
Understanding how you use pharmacy services
We learned from previous surveys that not everyone knows about the full range of services available at pharmacies and just one in ten people were aware of the self-care medicines scheme. We have used your feedback to design new information materials about the services available in pharmacies, including a new patient leaflet about the self-care medicine scheme. This scheme helps our lowest income residents get treatment at pharmacies for many common conditions. We are also using your feedback and may ask you more questions in future surveys about developing services in local pharmacies and improving residents confidence in accessing care.
Your Local Health Team campaign
Twelve members of the Community Voices Panel recently volunteered to take part in filming for our Your Local Health team campaign encouraging local residents to download the NHS app and explaining what it can be used for. Having local residents as part of the campaign really brings it to life, and it was great to have patients from all of our boroughs represented .Thank you to all panel members who took part. Please share this link with family and friends and encourage them to download the NHS App and don’t forget to look out for the campaign on social media or on bus stops. Understanding how you access information about your health
We are using the feedback you gave us about how you access healthcare information to improve our communication of local NHS services. We also recognise that you trust NHS staff and materials most, with nearly 90% of you saying that healthcare professionals and the NHS brand is where you look to get information about your health from, so we will continue to make these our primary channels for getting important messages out to local residents.
