Advanced technology and well-designed buildings play a crucial role in delivering high quality health and care services.
We, at NHS North Central London Integrated Care Board, have been driving forward an ambitious programme to transform primary care premises across Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington, to ensure that these vital facilities can help us deliver new ways of working within local communities, and offer services that help people get the care they need, closer to home, and away from acute hospitals.
We’re pleased to launch a short film which showcases how some of our flagship health centres are delivering more accessible, joined-up health and care services for patients.
Modern, purpose-built workspaces can make it easier for different professionals like GPs, nurses, pharmacists and care navigators to work together seamlessly and provide care that meets patients’ needs, leading to better patient experience and improved outcomes for them.
High quality facilities also create better working environments for staff and can help to attract and retain talent – securing the workforce for the future.
The film features staff and patients from Holloway Community Health Centre in Islington and The Muswell Hill Practice and Welbourne Health Centre, both in Haringey.
Watch the film below and see how we’re making our general practice facilities fit for the future.
