Mental Health Awareness Week

Graphic saying "over two thirds of people in England felt their mood boosted doing physical activity regularly"

This week (13-19 May) is Mental Health Awareness Week and the theme this year focuses on movement and how you can boost your mental health by moving more.

Benefits of movement for mental health range from improved mood, reduced anxiety and stress, improved memory and concentration, increased confidence, improved sleep and even improved social connectedness.

Despite these benefits, so many of us struggle to move enough. We know there are many different reasons for this, so this Mental Health Awareness Week aims to help people to find moments for movement in their daily routines.
